5 Napkin Burger

5 NAPKIN BURGER

The cheese will be oozing out of the inside of our juicy and flavorful Five Napkin Burgers. Yes, prepare plenty of napkins to wipe your chin, ‘cause this inside-out take on a cheeseburger is sure to be a family favorite!
Serves: 6
Cooking Time: 10 min
Ingredients
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup real bacon bits
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 hamburger buns, split
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, cheese, bacon bits, and pepper; mix well then shape mixture into 6 equal-sized patties.
     
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook patties 4 to 5 minutes per side, or cook on a
    pre-heated grill, until no pink remains and juices run clear. Place in buns and serve with your choice of toppings.

Amish Chicken Casserole

This Amish Country recipe is sure to be a popular one at your house. We take the shortcut liberty of using cooked rotisserie chicken to get our Amish Chicken Casserole from the oven to the table quickly.

Cooking Time: 30 min
Ingredients
  • 8 ounces medium egg noodles, uncooked
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups chopped cooked rotisserie chicken
  • 1 (4-ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
  1. Cook noodles according to package directions; drain and set aside.
     
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Melt butter in medium saucepan over low heat; gradually add flour, stirring until smooth. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add chicken broth and milk; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is slightly thickened and bubbly. Stir in salt and pepper; set aside.
     
  3. Combine noodles, chicken, and mushrooms in large bowl; stir in sauce.  Spoon mixture into a lightly greased 9- x 13- inch baking dish; sprinkle with cheese.  Bake uncovered, 20 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
